About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Viver a vida com leveza. / Living life with lightness.
ABOUT ME
I find myself a happy person. I like meeting people and having a nice conversation. I usually have busy days, because I work at the university and have two small and nice children to take care. We enjoy being together. I am a Physical Education teacher. I enjoy exercising and nowadays I go to the gym. I like the silence, even though I enjoy music. Lenine, Arnaldo Antunes, Caetano Veloso are some of my favorite Brazilian singers. Alice Ruiz, Fernando Pessoa, Leminski, Mário Quintana are some of the poets I’ve been reading lately. I try to be in contact with the nature whenever it’s possible. I like drinking coffee and tea, but I also love red wine and beer. If you are not Brazilian, I suggest you to try “caipirinha” with pineapple or passion fruit, my favorite ones.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I was a child, my family used to couch students from other cities during sport or art events in my school, and I would do the same at someone else home when traveling for competing. It was a nice experience!
I have already hosted around seven people from seven different countries at my home. That’s amazing, considering I don’t live in a tourist city. Students, circus artists, scientist, people searching a new way of life... We had more or less contact, depending how much time I or they had, how interesting we were one in other... There has always been a nice and respectful experience, even though I always get a little nervous before opening my house for somebody I still don’t know. But I like the idea of experience life in a little different way, more friendly and less commercial, open to the unknown…
Interests
Going to the movies, hiking, traveling, having dinner on a nice restaurant, cooking, driving my bike with my kids, reading or just staying home are some of the things I enjoy doing in my free time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I voted for president in Brazil in the first democratic election for president in our country. Living the campaign for Lula, going to the political demonstrations in Porto Alegre was an absolutely new and fascinating experience for the teenager I was.
Visiting Madras, India, by myself in 1996.
Giving birth of two lovely babies and being responsible to introduce them in the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy cooking and I would love to share the kitchen with someone, either to learn or to teach new recipes, while having a nice conversation or listening to good music.
I study about gender and physical education, women and sports and it would be nice share information about it, if someone is interested.
