About Me

CURRENT MISSION

convince myself to do an "alone trip" to Mongolia or Burma

ABOUT ME

It says I can say "all about me" in this box but actually I don't know all about myself. But I can give you an idea how I think I am or seem to be. :P

I'm studying Sociology and Religous studies which basically concentrates on topics I also think of in my everyday life: social phenomenons, cultural norms, social structures and processes...
That's why I really like (or can't help myself) to observe how others and myself behave and/or react in certain situations- but NOT in a creepy kind of way, I am a decent observer. :D

I once read something on a CS profile during my trip through Africa. A girl said about herself that "she's a paradox". In this very moment I realized that these words were exactly the words I was looking for all the time to describe myself. I can be very out-going but also introverted and shy. I can chat, jabber, talk, laugh, make faces, do awkward things in public and don't give a damn- and can be like a hermit crab as well. I can be childlike and cheerful and on the other hand contemplative and serious, especially when talking about "the dark sides" of our world.
I hope this part-introduction gives the reader a first impression about how I think I am. ;)

PHILOSOPHY

1. Never forget we are only guests on this planet.
2. This world needs are little more compassion.
3. Never lose your imagination!!!
4. Experience is experience. No matter if positive or negative, I'm grateful for either one because it always teaches me a valuable lesson about me, people and life itself.

When I feel like there's no hope left for humanity and nature I always read this saying by Edmund Burke: "Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little". Then I know again I don't want to be the one who makes that great mistake.
