Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We love learning about places and different cultures through making connections with the people and learning from them and their experiences. We also love sharing the best of our lovely area with those stopping through.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I (Helen) have had only wonderful experiences so far. It has been such an incredible way to learn about the people and the culture of a country.
I (Graham) am brand new to couchsurfing, but I am excited to learn more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent some time volunteering with Buddhist nuns in the Kathmandu valley. On my birthday, they made me a grass crown and I taught them how to dance salsa. It was wonderful! (Helen)

I drove through the Australian outback in a small car I purchased for $125 and found some ancient pictographs. (Graham)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can definitely share knitting skills, Spanish language lessons, and I have some great recipes for cooking to share as well (Helen).

I can share tips and insight for bird call identification and gardening (Graham).
