About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live life to its fullest each and every day and to try and say 'yes' as much as possible.

ABOUT ME

My friends would say that I am very compassionate and caring and outgoing. I grab life by the reigns and love to take advantage of all the experiences life has to offer. I love surprises and traveling has many of them. My biggest passions in life are the study of biology, my love of animals, and TRAVELING. I don't want to just learn about the world through books or through hearing other peoples' experiences. I want to get out and see it for myself. As for my character, I am the type of person who is very laid back and gets along with all different types of people. I am the one who my friends come to for advice or when they just need someone to listen. I also am a strong believer in the idea that you can never have too many friends. I love getting to know new people from different backgrounds with different life experiences.

Interests

Currently, I am studying biology at the University of Chicago with the intention of going to medical school or veterinary school when I graduate. I love all types of animals and can't imagine going through life without pets. In addition, in my spare time I love to dance and to read. My favorite color of all time is lime green, and, in general, I just love things with lots of bright colors. I think color makes life better, no matter what you're doing. I am just excited for all that life has to offer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked to Machu Picchu with a small tour group on the Salkantay Trek. It was an amazing experience. It was me, the tour guide, and three other people I had never met from all over the world. However, in just the five days of the trek, we all had become amazing friends. We pushed ourselves to our limits on the hike and grew as individuals and as a group. Then, to finish it off by seeing and experiencing Machu Picchu and the amazing history it holds was an incredible experience. It solidified the fact that we are all just people on this grand planet, all just making it through the best we know how, and the importance of taking advantage of everyday we have because we never know what the future holds.
