About Me

CURRENT MISSION

run a halfmarathon

ABOUT ME

when i'm around the right kind of people i can be very outgoing and chatty. other than that, i'd say i'm also calm, but up for adventures. open-minded. at the first glance i might seem shy but you'll find out soon that i'm really talkative. seems like a lot of contradictions, i suppose you'll have to meet me to see for yourself! :) i'm a happy person who can appreciate the small gifts that life has to offer. i love to laugh and spend my time with people who make me laugh (it doesn't take a lot ;) )
i'm trying to fit some sports into my days. right now that's mainly running, swimming, riding my bike, and pilates. when the sun is out i like to spend a good deal of time outside. i am really into live music events, be it concerts or festivals. oh, and books, i love to read and if a book has got it's grip on me i won't put it down.
at the moment i'm pretty busy studying, whenever i have breaks from school i love visiting random places all around the world - recently, that was mainly spots in the U.S., but at the moment i'm trying to get around europe - and especially austria - to find some new and interesting places around here. there's a lot of these spots so close to home and i just haven't seen them - that needs to be changed!

PHILOSOPHY

make the best out of every moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

after graduating from high school i spent a year in the states as an au pair. it was during that year that i had my first experiences as a couchsurfer. i've already been traveling a lot and i want see as much of the world as possible. in october 2009 a friend of mine and i moved into our very own apartment and now i'm also happy to be a host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

after my year as an au pair in the states i went on a roadtrip with some friends of mine. we couchsurfed most of the time and got the chance to meet a whole lot of wonderful people! everybody was so helpful - not only giving us a couch, but also great tips about places to see and things to do!
when i was back in the states in february '09 i was lucky to be offered an awesome couch in boston.
i've also been hosting for about a year, having had a whole bunch of wonderful people from (almost) every part of the world over ;)
i love being part of this community. it's a great way to travel and to get to know these amazing people with all their crazy/hilarious/unbelievable stories.
with couchsurfing you get the chance to experience a country and its culture on a whole new level.

Music, Movies, and Books

books - when i read a book i REALLY read it - i like to know everything into the tiniest detail. that's why it takes me forever to finish a book! when it comes to the genre i'm pretty flexible, i'm open for any literature tips you have in store!
music - i'm into indie music. indie rock, indie pop.. i love going to shows, that takes up an essential part of my spare time.
movies - again, the genre is not too important. i don't care for big hollywood blockbusters a lot, but if i'm animated by my friends i'll watch them all the same.
