About Me

Hi!

I'm Helene and I'm 28. I was born in France from a german mother and an austrian father, so I grew up in Paris and moved to Berlin at 18 for my studies (I'm studying french and german law, sounds serious, but I'm not ^^).

I would definite myself as an open-minded, funny, very sociable and easygoing person. I just want to enjoy life, by that, I mean for example, meeting new people (love to share experiences, talk and have a laugh!) or just trying to be happy with my decisions and my life. I love travelling, being curious and go out to see what the world can offer :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've decided to go to South America during 5 months with a friend (she's from Paris and a great person) from January to May 2015. We did a big road trip through Argentina, Brasil, Bolivia and Peru. The goal was to live a nice adventure by discovering a lot of new places, new cultures, new people, make some friends in places we never had been to, leave the european way of life and see how other people live. As an open-minded and curious person, I really wanted to live another kind of life, and I think that this trip changed me in a good way, for example by forgetting the everyday life stress and focusing on sharing and discovering!

I've experienced couchsurfing a few times (in Amsterdam, Oslo, Argentina and Brazil) and everytime it was a really really nice experience. I really think that trips can just be better by meeting people from the community in many different places!

Interests

I love sports: I swim a lot, when I've enough time I try to do 10km/week, I used to play Badminton and Tennis. I also love riding horses and do some treks.

I love music, and had a classical formation by learning to play violin during 15 years. I've also played a few years of piano and now I'm trying to learn to play guitar.

Otherwise, I like hanging out with friends, watch a good movie, party sometimes, or just have a nice dinner and chill together.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music (jazz, soul, pop, opera, even some rap) but I just don't get metal music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Never missed a flight (ahaha, that's amazing for me 'cause I've been late for every single one).

Update: i missed a flight since i created my account :/

Teach, Learn, Share

In my freetime I teach french and german. I had a lot of students and I really liked it, so much I figured out that I wanted to become a professor.

Because I'm curious, I love learning new things, it's exciting to have an entire life to learn more & more. I learned many things during my trips, not just theoretical things, but sharing life experiences with new people brought me a lot and I just hope that this will continue :)

What I Can Share with Hosts
