Hmmm, description of myself? Not so easy but i'll give it a try!

I love doing new things, mostly including meeting other people with different backgrounds. My way of life has been ever changing, having different jobs and living in different countries/cities. Friends mostly recall me as 'the one that lived two years in Burundi working with the police force' (i worked for an development project of the Belgian Development Agency, trying the integrate military/police/gendarmerie/armed group members in one national police force). Burundi was indeed an inner katalysator for me and it will always be a significant part in my life. I am happy to still have Burundian friends which makes me stay connected.

In my free time I basically like to hang out, enjoy a drink (or two) and having good conversation. I am in an amateur theatre group which i love. I don't cook, but I do sports (sorry for that, but when hosted I might do my best).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I only did couchsurfing seven years ago, in Puerto Rico. Since then I've been living in Burundi and I've been hosting people (acquaintances from friends or any other person in need having to stay in Bujumbura) without the couchsurfing platform. My travelling buddies were mostly new friends living short-or longterm in Burundi or Rwanda. This explains the 'gap' 2009-now.

Recent years, I've always been travelling to countries where I knew friends to show me around. I never had a 'must-visit-list' and i don't like guidebooks. It made the best experencies. But my circle of friends abroad has reduced since I live in Belgium again. This explains the recent 'catch up' with couchsurfing.
