I live together with my boyfriend and with our cat Leeloo in beautiful Eastern Switzerland, just a stone's throw away from the Alps. I like to spend as much time as possible outdoors - skiing in winter, hiking in summer. And when I'm not outdoors, I read a lot, watch films (preferably: historical and political films, dramas, documentaries, and science fiction films), knit caps and socks, and organize Velosolex events.

And what we probably all have in common on this platform: I love to travel. I don't get excited about beach holidays, but I'm all the more enthusiastic about cultural and outdoor holidays.

Dare to venture far outside your own comfort zone, immerse yourself deeply in the respective place and culture, meet local people, ... Couchsurfing makes such memories possible in its very own way.

I had my first Couchsurfing experience in summer 2010 in Israel, and it couldn't have been better.
