ABOUT ME
I'm kind of a free spirit; very easy going, friendly, and talkative. I rarely say no to any kind of adventure especially if it involves music and/or traveling. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2013 with a BA in Visual Journalism and a minor in Global Studies. Basically, I like writing, creating and learning about the world.
Growing up I was always taught that the best way to learn anything is through experience and that is why I believe traveling is such an important part of my life.
PHILOSOPHY
do what makes you happy and the rest will come with it...
"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
- Howard Thurman

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is a huge part of my life. My father is a bassist for a living and before my parents had kids my mom was a singer/guitarist as well. I grew up learning to appreciate all genres of music however, I would consider indie rock, indie folk/acoustic, bluegrass, and jazz my favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent August 2013 hitchhiking & craigslist ridesharing across the US with my best friend. I traveled a total of ~6,703 miles — the greater part of that number being spent hitching with a total of 20 different drivers.
Every encounter was overwhelmingly positive. I took something away from every single person that picked us up and began to realize that when you throw yourself into the world with a positive outlook and a smile on your face you are bound to be taken care of.
