About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Accomplishing my life long dream of traveling around the world. Check out my travels at instagram.com/viagemnoazul/
ABOUT ME
Some facts about me: I'm crazy about sunrises and sunsets (I once cursed a man who denied me a sunrise). I used to paint Monet when i was a kid, even made some sales, but I haven't nourished this talent in many years. I love the beach (despite my skin color), meeting people, being in nature, and one of my greatest pleasures is to dance (almost anything). I also love cats, but I'm allergic to them. My favorite English word is Serendipity; for me, it sounds like a fairy's name - Serendipity, the fairy of happy accidents.
PHILOSOPHY
Instead of "why", ask "why not"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have hosted and surfed many times and have met surfers randomly in meetings and parties. I just love being part of this amazing project. The world seems a bit smaller every time I learn another little detail from somewhere thousands of miles away.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
How about two?
The first sight of Machu Picchu, after 4 days of hiking, rafting and cycling, plus dozens of flights of stairs with an injured leg. It was the best pain killer ever.
Watching the sunrise at the top of Pedra da Gávea, one of the highest mountains in Rio, after a 2.5 hour climb in the dark. It felt like a gift from the gods.
Teach, Learn, Share
- When dancing, the most important thing is to free your body and your mind. Relax, close your eyes and listen. Forget about everyone around you and let the beat get into your heart. Then you'll be able to dance anything.
- When making a brownie, don't worry if it gets flat. That's the point, otherwise it'd be a cake.
- When talking to a brazilian, avoid ending the chat with a CU. Although some of us know that means "see you", in portuguese "cu" means "asshole".
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can talk about pretty much anything! I just love sitting down and sharing knowledge, ideas, cultural differences (and similarities). I can teach you about Brazilian music, food, politics and history. If you have a business or a business idea, I can help you get started or get traction (I'm a startup mentor in Brazil).
