About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to take as good care of myself and my loved ones as possible. Life is difficult at times, and I want to appreciate all of my friends and family to the fullest. Working towards living as much in the present as possible to take every moment and see and welcome them for what they are.
ALso to Explore, be free, make meaningful connections with all types of people, learn everything I can while living life to the full.
ABOUT ME
I am currently taking some time off from studying to get a BA in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. I am someone who wants to live happily and love others unconditionaly. So far the ways I've found to foster joy in myself and others have been through community, food, and travel. I love learning about all types of people places, cultures, cuisines. Professionally I've worked in Cafes, bookstores, with kids and in bakeries. Discovered my passion for cooking and became certified in Baking and Pastry arts, and worked as a baker for a year before pursuing volunteer opportunities and travel while Wwoofing in Quebec and Nova Scotia.
PHILOSOPHY
Love your neighbor as yourself, and live life to the full, fearlessly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I couchsurfed for the first time in Prince Edward Island and had an AMAZING time. The radical generosity of complete strangers has blown me away and someday I hope to repay my debt by passing that along. Continueing to couch surf every chance I get, and hopefully start hosting a bit as soon as I become slightly more stationary and am able to.

Music, Movies, and Books
I prefer mostly folksy/indie music, but I like and can appreciate most types of music! My favourite movies are Stranger than Fiction, Dan in Real Life, recently I really enjoyed The Sapphires, Safety Not Guarenteed and We're The Millers. TV shows, I like Grace and Frankie, Narcos, and Orange is the New Black. For bookds, I read a lot for school, but also a lot of non-fiction narrative food books, sometimes some foodies novels. My recent favourites include It's Only Slow Food Until YOu Try to Eat It, and The Third Plate, The Triumph of Seeds.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's the little things that make life amazing. Being greeted by a hug by a stranger, watching the abandon of children dancing, laughing until you cry, eating lobster off the boat, a good conversation, a book that speaks to your soul, a song that gives you the shivers.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to bake! And cook!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Something that I have done on previous couchsurfing stays that I enjoy a lot is cooking for my hosts. I love cooking and serving a special meal to people to thank them for their hospitality. This doesnt always get to happen depending on time, but it is a very rewarding way for me to show my gratitude.
