About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To walk, run and fly on, over and through this beautiful world.
ABOUT ME
I am a curious and enthusiastic person who is happy within herself but always looking for the next adventure, whether it´s around the corner from my house or the other end of the world. I am currently a teacher at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose but have a year of traveling to do for my sabbatical. I have traveled extensively in my life already but couch surfing embodies what I look for when I step outside my door and onto the road. I love to meet the people who live in the cities and towns I visit. Though the beauty and unique qualities of every new place intrigue me, there is nothing like someone who knows the place to open my eyes and make me fall in love with a new location. Of course, the locals will know all the specifics! And in turn, I love to have people visit me from all over. I have not had a chance to host any couch surfers yet, but I have hosted all kinds of friends and friends of friends from every corner of the world at my house. I love the evening chat with a glass of wine and hearing about a new friend´s life and interests!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is for living and seeking. Every person on the earth has something to teach me. The universe is abundant. Only the boundaries on our conscious minds hold us back.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to couch surfing though the concept is terrific. I am as yet only a seeker since I am on the road for a year and will not be at home to host. But once I return to my city near the city by the Bay, I hope to host many new friends and show them the beauty and magnificence of the San Francisco Bay Area as well as the California coast.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I am about one week into couch surfing. I found out about it in Reykjavik, which is my first stop in a series of travel destinations. I am still learning about how to present myself, how to find suitalbe hosts and how to go about the whole couch surfing etiquette, but I hope to master it soon!
Interests
I love all things outdoors, especially pristine untouched Nature. Just walking, hiking, bicycling in a beautiful setting can make my spirit soar. I also love city life and the hustle bustle of an active scene. I have been practicing yoga for about ten years and I suppose this is the foundation on my daily activities. I love to read, ponder fine art, look out the window on a rainy day, share a glass of wine with friends, dance when the mood is upon me.

Music, Movies, and Books
The music fits the mood and thankfully there is so much wonderful music out there, and even more being created even as we speak (or I write or as you read). Anything from classical guitar to the Rat Pack to the techno sounds I hear all over these days. Of course, I grew up with the classic Rock sounds of the 60´s so I echo to Janice, Jimmy, Bob, Eric, Joni, Neil, John, Paul, George and Ringo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had an amazing at Plum Village, an intentional community where Thich Nhat Hanh lives. It was an experience in mindfulness that stays with me even to this day and wherever i go.
Teach, Learn, Share
First of all and very practically, I can teach you some English since that is my profession and my love. I hope to learn about your philosophy and practice of life. I hope we can share anything from a cup of coffee or tea to a life-long friendship.
