About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To share pub banter and a have good natter with as many people as possible

ABOUT ME

I am a friendly, creative person, who enjoys having adventures and meeting new people!

At the moment I'm a bit of a serial hobbyist, as well as a bit of pot and print making, I enjoy a strum at the local Oxford ukelelle group, do some folk singing with a group of friends and enjoy trying to learn hoola hoop tricks in the park on a sunny day.

I have been in Oxford for four years and love living here. Not only is it a beautiful city, full of history, culture and atmosphere, but its got a great cycling culture and friendly community. I particularly love being able to get to work in 10 minutes (I'm a short cycle ride from the Oxford College that I work at in the centre of town).

Other things I love include... good books, challenging conversations, and - of course! - a good party! As you can see from my pictures, I am not adverse to a bit of fancy dress and try not to take my self too seriously! This girl just wants to dance and have fun!

PHILOSOPHY

Be creative, be thoughtful, be open, don't be afraid to be different.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've got lots of couch surfing friends in Oxford and have co-hosted a couch surfers in the past as well as attended a couple of local couch surfer get-togethers, however this is my first 'official' foray into the couch surfing scene, with my own profile.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've recently really enjoyed reading some of Roald Dahl's adult short stories. Other books I'd recommend:
1984 - George Orwell; Brave New World - Aldous Huxley; Foundation 1 - Asimov; The Waterfall - Margaret Drabble; The Lessons - Naomi Aldermann.

My music taste is pretty varied but I'll have a good dance to most things: indie, electro, rock, pop, folk, house, ska, reggae, etc.

Favourite film: Joachim Trier's debut film Reprise (2006)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hardly a marathon but I did run 10 miles last autumn - something that I thought I'd never do, as I used to hate running as a teenager!
