ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty happy, relaxed and open minded person. I love travelling and am constantly thinking about the next trip...The next one is definitely South America...I've been wanting to do that one for a while! I'm in a bit of a transitional phase at the minute - after living in Northern NSW for the last year and a half, I am now going to make a move down to Melbourne as I fell in love with it last year. I love music, I love movies...I actually have a degree in Film Production because I loved it so much....above all else I love food...cheese especially..!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a couch surfing newbie....but everyone's gotta start somewhere, eh?! I'm going on a little travel trip in the next week so I will be couch surfing my socks off. Then once I return I hope to repay the favor by offering my very comfy couch!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I said before I am a CS newbie. My friend and avid couch surfer, Graham Russ told me about it recently and how great it is. It's sounds like such a good idea - a great place to meet different people and I am super keen to get started!

Hmmm...Ok I like......Music, movies, theatre...I love the outdoors and mountains - walking..running...seeing nature - gives me a lot of peace......I love food - I actully get very excited about it..just making it and when people enjoy it - that is awesome! I really love cheese....and wine - they make me a happy lady! I like books, meditation and I really like meeting new people and socialising....

Yes yes love them - all of them....someone will always ask me what my favourite film is, or band or book and there are just so damn many.....Ok here goes.......
Music: I love every kind...well not 'love' every kind, some I love more than others...and the others...well lets just say I appreciate all kinds, different genres for different moods.....anyway off the top of my head...
Gotye, Fat Freddy's Drop, Marvin Gaye, Manu Chao, Black Seeds, Prince, Blind Melon, Faith No More, Nick Drake, Kings of Leon, Katchafire, Bon Iver (1st album not so keen on 2nd) Johnny Cash, Elvis, Incubus, You Am I, Snoop Dog (back in the day!), Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, The Doors, Paul Kelly, Luciano, The Beatles, Bob Marley, Ray Charles, Rufus Wainwright, Sublime, Beirut, System of a Down, Rage, Ryan Adams, AC/DC, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Crosby Stills & Nash......

Movies....Ok well I love gangster films..so The Godfathers, Donnia Brasco, Goodfellas, Casino, Usual Suspects, Resovoir Dogs...these are all awesome. I think The Departed might just be my favourite film...I've seen it so many times - I just love Martin Scorsese - he's a dude. Lord of the Rings, I've seen quite a few times now...I don't think I'll ever get bored of it....old school horror films, 10 Canoes was incredible, A Single Man was reaaally good...There are just so many so I'm going to leave it here...for now.

Books...hmmm well....anything by Alain De Botton is awesome - I wouldn't like to have a debate with that man - he would win - hands down. Consolations of Philosophy is my favourite. I looove Tom Robbins, he is my hero - his style of writing, the crazy images and scenarios he pictures up....just...awesome!! Hunter S Thompson - he is THE dude, I'm not sure if I've ever laughed so much as when I read Fear and Loathing, The Rum Diary is oh-dear-lord-so-good!! Made me wanna drink rum and have a burger..everyday of the week! I really do just love that style of writing. I recently just read Into The Wild...such a good book, it really does just make you want to want to go hiking, camping, whatever, just go on an adventure. I'm starting to read Jack Kerouac's books - I've read On the Road....I'm going to read my way through all his books....Soooo that's it for now!
