About Me

I am a Finnish person living in Austria for a bit. Student of social sciences and philosophy, gardener and lover of animals and nature. I'm pretty a down-to-earth person and find joy in the ordinary human things such as socializing with good people, sharing stories and food, listening to music, observing and appreciating the beautiful nature or urban surroundings etc.
Traveling is something I love maybe the most of all things to do in this world. I love the excitement of an adventure, and even enjoy the slight awkwardness and confusion one experiences in a place never visited before and in where one doesn’t yet know how to act. Getting to know the friendly locals is the best way to figure it out!
I believe traveling the world is the best way for me to grow as a human being, to refresh my thinking, to become more kind, patient and better able to understand people around me.

I live in Graz, Austria currently and am unfortunately unable to host Couchsurfers. Gladly would meet up for a beer or other fun though!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ofcourse I wish to meet kind, open minded, lovely people to share good times and stories with. I believe that people who have faith in humanity enough to take a risk to invite a stranger to one’s home/ go to spend a night in a couch of a stranger are the people worth meeting as they tend to be the most warm, open and kind hearted.
When you travel you enter and get to explore so many new worlds! I love the feeling of being amazed, confused and a bit lost before I get to know the place I'm visiting. Having a friendly local to show you around is the most fulfilling and enjoyable way to get familiar with a new country or city. I love cultural sharing and exchanging, and for all this Couchsurfing is just a wonderful way!

My hometown is not huge (although adorable and especially during summer season lots of fun) and lived here for years, so for me there are not that many new people to meet. For this reason meeting a foreign person visiting Tampere is a refreshing experience and always a pleasure.

My experiences with couchsurfing have so far been all nothing but positive and i'm excited to do more of surfing and also host surfers at my couch.

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading a good novel or some exciting scientific literature is my favorite hobby. One thing I like to do whilst traveling is finding good spots for hanging up my hammock to chill, enjoy the views and read books. Some of my favorite authors: George Orwell, Philipp K. Dick, Mihail Bulgakov, Daniil Kharms and Herman Hesse.
What comes to music and films I have a very broad taste. These experiences are best when shared! Let’s go to cinema or to listen to some live music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paraglyding over spectacular views by the Alps in Austria. Driving trough Ho Chi minh city’s mad traffic with a motorbike.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook pretty good vegan food and gladly share my tips if you’re interested in going more plant based
I have practiced a little bit of acroyoga and had a blast doing it. If I come across some hobbyists I would gladly try and do some acro together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Endless curiosity for listening to your stories about your addventures.
I like cooking for people so i would probably provide you with a vegetarian meal. Sometimes I like to go dancing in a club so if you’re keen to live the nightlife perhaps I could go with you.
