About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Shredding proteins and having a good laugh !

ABOUT ME

A description of myself...Hum! Okay, let's see. I'm a perfect remainder that French colonists once came to the New World and took possession of a huge chunk of land that they called Nouvelle-France. So as a matter-of-fact my first language is French and most of my ancestors were of French lineage albeit mixed with a bit of native blood. Apart from that, I'm an easy-going and open-minded guy who likes to share stories and funny experiences with others. On an academic level, I'm presently studying molecular biology in a cancer research center here in one of the oldest town in North America. My pastimes are mainly aimed at forgetting everything about science by going to all sort of cultural events or doing anything that can take my mind off those small proteins I'm playing with on weekdays.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoying all the small pleasures of life with my friends and family. I know it's not really an original or eccentric philosophy but sometimes the simplest truth is the best around! What else? Being honest with me and those that come into my life. Learning new things as often as possible. Having fun without hurting anyone in the process.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did try to couchsurf in Greece, but infortunately to no avail... So for the moment and until my next trip, I enjoy welcoming people at my flat and I attempt to make their stay here worthwhile.

Interests

Wasting my time sipping an espresso at small cafes while watching people. Writing random poetry and tasting new wines. Hosting dinners with as many people as possible in my flat. Reading all kinds of books and listening to a large spectrum of music. Trying to find some spare time to travel abroad. Learning new languages, as for now Italian. Enjoying the few summer weeks here in frozen Quebec before the coming of the everlasting winter...

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm currently attempting to have the most eclectic collection of music ever found on an ipod from French oldies to electronic world music. As for movies, I enjoy a broad spectrum of styles, as long as they don't take me for a moron. Books! Hey, bring them on... I love reading so my brain doesn't become shrivelled too soon!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once found myself in a snowballs battle with only a swimsuit on at -20°C for the winter carnival here in Quebec City and I came out alive without any disastrous physical consequences... Swam in the muddy hot and orange waters of an underwater volcanoe... Was blessed by a old albanian widow in Athens...
