CURRENT MISSION
Live liffe at its fullest and meet great people on the way
ABOUT ME
I could call myself an international mutt, however if I had to narrow it down, I'm a Frenchie, with an American flair and a very diverse background.
I have found that traveling is my absolute passion, however, it seems that when I have the time, I don't have the money, and when I have the money, I don't have the time. What a vicious circle.
So far, my travels have taken me all over my native Europe (although I still need to explore Eastern Europe - maybe take advantage of one of those amazing summer music festivals sometime soon?). I've also been to Central & South America, and to Easter Asia a few times (lived in Japan & Singapore, but can't wait to hit the temples in Cambodia).
After completing a BS in Engineering and working the real corporate life for 3 years, I'm giving it up and following my heart: going back to school for a Masters at Boston University (trying to enter the healthcare industry).
PHILOSOPHY
Veni, Vidi, Vici.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Over the past 3 years, I have moved nearly every 6 months due to the nature of my job (corporate leadership program).
Through one of the households I lived in (in Colorado Springs), I learned about CouchSurf! We regularly hosted Surfers, and I loved the idea of sharing my home, time & city with them. I like to give them hints on the good places in town (restaurants, fun stuff to do, etc...) and would do my best to share a meal with them - at home or dining out. Since my fantastic roomie, and owner of the house, was the one managing the emails and logistics of hosting surfers, I don't have any on record on my profile :(. It was a fun process though: everyone in the house would get together, she would read the couch request out loud, and we'd each get to vote on the surfers, yay or nay.
After I moved out of Colorado Springs (to St Louis, MO, and Raleigh, NC), other roommates either did not know about CS, or weren't as willing to share their space with the CS community as I was, and that was something I had to respect. Hence, it's been a while since I've hosted but now that I am getting my own place, with my own couch (um, super comfy btw), I cannot wait to host again & meet the "routards" as we call them in France. Will I be jealous that you're traveling and I'm not? Fo' sho' :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've personally never surfed a couch yet, although that will happen very soon. However, as mentioned above, I have hosted many a' surfer in my home in Colorado (individuals and groups), and look forward to hosting again in Boston!
Oh, and I did join a 4th of July CS party in Denver, CO a few years back - that was a great time. I think we can all agree that the traveling people are simply the best!
Interests
Things I like to do better than writing about myself (lost of "I"'s and "me"'s in here!): cook (French, Japa, Thai, Indian, my own creations, etc...) I'm a self-proclaimed foodies but not a food snob either, mountain bike, music festivals (from bluegrass to electronic), hike, draw, read fictions, get lost in art museums & unknown places, meeting strangers and starting impromptu conversations. And of course shopping & flea markets.

Teach, Learn, Share
Never regret anything you do. We're not here for long, so take some risks & don't live asking yourself "what if I had done this....?"
If someone matter to you: let them know!
Don't expect too much of others, instead, expect more of yourself. Looking back, you'll achieve things you'd never think yourself capable of! We all have so much potential - to love, to create, to share, to repair, to learn & teach, to get through tough times - but we're blind to our own prowess.
Stay true to yourself. In a world of constant pressure, expectations, and omnipresent judgement, it's easy to lose yourself in what others want (or what you think they want).
