About Me

Hello! I'm new here, but I've been hosting people all around the world with my mom since I was 11 - https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/gaziza.onalbayeva?action=show&controller=user_profiles .

UPDATE:
I just graduated from Metropolitan University in Budapest, studying Environmental design. Last semester I spent my Erasmus exchange in Athens at UniWA, now planning to visit Heraklion from the 16th to 19th, am also open to riding a boat to Athens :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am really keen to socializing and exploring different culture through integrating and assimilating into local lifestyles and I believe couchsurfing will help me achieve that and connect with people.
Moreover, I suppose that people who surf are very open-minded and sincere. These characteristics give inspiration and motivation to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I flew to Colombia to meet my mom who lived in Mexico and lived there for 3 months during covid times. Had the best online uni experience with classes form 3am and a million dollar view to Medellin.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like having discussions on the most interesting and important topics like environmentalism, digital nomad lifestyle, politics, integration of Ai and much more. Most importantly I like sharing my knowledge and experience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I worked as an English teacher for two years, I taught both kids and adults both in person and remote, so I can provide English classes and help out with grammar. I also finished a music school with focus on piano, so I would love to practice that with the hosts.

I am also great with picking up on any type of sport, I've been skiing since the age of 4, I learned swimming and ice-skating professionally, too. I surfed in India and in Ireland (two completely different experience of the same surf type haha). I also paddled in Barcelona and recently tried sup surfing in one of the small towns in Hungary. At the moment I cycle in Budapest as a lifestyle :)
