About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to find happiness magic and inspiration - and play my djembe drum

ABOUT ME

currently in transit in life in general...after 18 months of cleaning in a hotel & pub whilst also trying to promote my partner's artisan & creative work (The Ragged Dragon) I left the UK in May 2016 (before all the 'brexit' fiasco!). I gained my TEFL Teaching qualification in June 2016 and have been teaching in Budapest combined with working in a hostel, for the last 12 months. So I have all my earthly possessions with me in my rucsack as I step out to make the change for myself with my head held high, my spirit free & positive energies to see what this adventure & journey will bring..I'm strong willed & independent but a hug every now & then, like music sunshine & laughter, is worth sharing

PHILOSOPHY
Money doesn't verify me
Whatever you do, do it with all your heart
Do what you can with what you've got, where you are
Too fast to live, too young to die (Vivienne Westwood)
Just fucking do it

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

just beginning...to be continued...I do not believe that Validation with money proves anything. I am a woman of integrity - you will know that when you meet me - but you'll never know if you don't <3

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
2016 one night in Wroclaw - very polite & informed host.
Working in a hostel is a little like CS :-)
Most of the couch exchanges over the years have been outside of CS so plenty of experiences, just not here...

Music, Movies, and Books

Hedflux, Zen Mechanics, Captain Hook & Ace Ventura; Ozric Tentacles; Reggae - esp. Trojan Sounds artists; I could go on as my music taste is so very varied & encompasses a myriad of sound vibrations :-)
Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates is fantastic! 'The Witch of Portobello' - really good read; discovering Terry Pratchett (Death Trilogy), have always loved Shakespeare but now I have no home to keep any books so book exchanges on my travels will be my surprise sources!
Movies can be timeless - Alien & Bladerunner; Pulp Fiction; Apocalypse Now; Paris, Texas; Guardians of the Galaxy, Men in Black & a few other good silly movies you can sit down & watch any old time & not take them or yourself too seriously! :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living every day is an Amazing experience <3
watched close up (Mediterranean) Loggerhead sea turtles nesting - they have been around for 180 million years & are an endangered species..a truly amazing experience

Teach, Learn, Share

Animals & the great outdoors can teach so much - the elements inspire, sentient beings and simplicity of plant life, touch learn and share within nature and remember that we are guests so Behave!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Myself - generosity of heart & mind & genuinely just being 'me'.
