About Me

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in a small town just north of Toronto. My upbringing was very standard although I believe that somewhere around the age of 13 I must have experienced some sort of unconscious revelation that served as a catalyst for the introspective journey that I am still living today. High school was spent staring out the window, just waiting. I missed my graduation due to a month-long trip to Ecuador with a local leadership program. It was the beginning of what I hope to be a life of constant travel. After high school, I participated in an exchange program called Canada World Youth which brought me to live with a dysfunctional family in northern Quebec, and then with a dirt-poor polygamous Muslim family in Burkina Faso, each for 3 months. The years that follow include a few seasons of treeplanting, a brief attendance at Carleton University, an exodus to the west coast where I fell in love with British Columbia and Vancouver, a bunch of mind-blowing experiences at Burning Man, a few backpacking trips to South America,, a couple love-affairs, and many nights spent outside under the stars in awe of it all.

PHILOSOPHY

Although I would rather not define my personal philosophy as it is constantly changing (sometimes drastically), I usually do my best to abide by these rules:
A) Never try to control anyone's life but your own.
B) Remember that everything is relative.
C) Be the change you want to see in the world

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I tell many people about couch surfing all the time while being friendly and respectful hoping to spark their interest and eventually have them staying on couches around the world while offering their own couch for others. I have probably been very successful.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far every experience has been totally awesome.

Interests

My interests include guitar and banjo playing while sometimes singing, pretending I know how to skateboard, psychedelic research, hacky sack, computers, and high-energy dancing.
