Overview
About Me
I’m just a human living in a very transparent way with people to establish true and meaningful relationships. I’m well mannered, always willing to help out, will share my couch and all that I keep in my possession.
Less fussed about where I sleep. Most interested to share time, maybe some wine and have a good laugh while we’re at it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've met some of the most caring people who welcomed me into their home, gave me a chance to truly interact with them and learn from their way of life. Some of these people gave more than I knew a person could.
These experiences and encounters expand my understanding of life by offering an invitation to disconnect from my constructed comfort zones to connect with new people, perspectives, experiences, and walks of life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in a retired yellow school bus. It was winter in central Florida and I was building tree houses in a conservation forest. Lucky for us, the bus had a wood-stove and we could keep warm at night.
Walking in the Amazon rainforest late at night with only a machete, hammock and handful of friends. We stayed awake all night taking turns telling stories and kindling the fire. In the morning the rain was light and misty. We walked in it, drenched and silent, with our ears tuned into the rainforest soundscape. A highlight of my life.
Walked 1186 kilometres on foot, with a 72-year-old great-grandmother, to raise awareness of the coal expansion and its damaging impact on the Great Barrier Reef.
Living in silent meditation for 10-days straight. Under the guidance of S. N. Goenka, I've twice participated in the Vipassana course, using mere breathing techniques to gain insight into the true nature of reality...and to understand the life of a monk a bit better.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm up for learning anything.
I can cook ...and clean up after too.
I can sit down and meditate with you.
I can tell you what I know about growing vegetables...plants and trees.
I can take your photograph - always looking for people who have a story to tell.
I can help you if you are learning English.
I can listen to your ideas and chat about almost anything.
I can take you to the trails or other natural places to explore.
I'd be thrilled to get out into the wild or spend the day on the water.
