Overview
About Me
I've lived in Toronto, Canada, for most of my adult life and I love this city. I miss it whenever I am away, even if I'm having a good time. I spent a couple years living in San Francisco and another year in Ecuador, both of which I've enjoyed.
I am curious and interested in many things. I enjoy learning new perspectives, and I love doing this through living in new places, learning a new language or travel. I'm an ambivert who is sometimes social and sometimes prefer to bury my head in a book. My free time is spent hiking, exploring green spaces, yoga, reading, watching films, learning about meditation, and exploring some sort of creativity/art. I used to go out dancing, bike around the city, and dabble in painting and drawing, but not so much these days.
I love being in nature and will do a lot to get to a good trailhead. My travels lately have been planned around access to nature and hiking.
Happy to share what I know of this beautiful city. I would love to grab a meal or coffee together if our schedules allow, and if you are interested.
Please excuse the low response rate, I had problems linking my only current email with Couchsurfing for a while, but it's fixed now.

Music, Movies, and Books
One of my all-time favourite documentaries is 180 degrees South. I also loved Maiden Trip. Other films I like include Bande a Part and Les 400 Coup.
I enjoy literature by Tove Jansson, David Mitchell and Ali Smith.
Electronic music like Jamie XX, Grimes and Blue Hawaii are faves. I also love most other kinds of live music except metal. If you like gypsy or Balkan styles, Lemon Bucket Orchestra is a great Canadian band.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many to count. The most amazing things can be the most ordinary ones.
- Climbing to the top of a mountain above the clouds, seeing a pair of falcons just hanging out metres away from you -- priceless.
- Watching the perfect sunset twice in Ecuador with friends - once in the warm waters of a quiet beach, another at the northern-most remote forgotten part of the country.
- Getting a diving license in spite of being afraid of open ocean.
Teach, Learn, Share
