CURRENT MISSION

I'm on an adventure around Europe for the next few months and I want to have a make it awesome. I love exploring cities but am also excited to see some countryside and enjoy some nature.

ABOUT ME

I am eccentric, adventurous, adaptable, easy-going, and up-to-something. I like to travel and I like to create, without focus on any medium in particular. Good food, good music, good company, and ample leisure time make me happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started out surfing, but as I've been largely stationed in Vancouver for a good while now I've taken up hosting a fair deal too, and both are excellent.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing but good things have happened. I've hosted someone I turned out to have met long before, elsewhere in the world. I've hosted someone I still correspond with often, though we knew each other for just days of being in the same place. I've been hosted by rad people that introduced me to their goats and put me up in their cobb house. I've had a lot of really great and unexpected things happen because of couchsurfing.

Interests

I love to explore - it's still true when I'm rooted in one place. I have a big map of the Vancouver area on my bedroom wall and it inspires adventure to explore new places all the time.

I ride my bike everywhere, rain or shine, and that makes me happy. I like photography, mostly film. Cooking and food occupies a lot of my time and space in my brain. My roommates and I are all on the same page here, and consequentially I am always eating well!

I am an avid homebrewer - mostly beer and wine, but I dabble in other things too. I consequentially have a good stock around and am often sharing a drink with friends. My local burner camp runs a bar and my collective house throws a big annual festival on our property, so I brew for those and am starting to teach others how to do it too. I also love fermenting food, though I get around to it less these days.

Vancouver has a sweet local music scene, so I go out to shows pretty often.

I've been to Burning Man a couple of times (2013 & 2015) and that culture of art and expression is something I love.
