Hi! I’m a Chinese-Indonesian animation student in Annecy, France ⛰️ I came to Europe in September 2025, and I’ll be here until June (or longer if everything goes well!)

I like to sketch, take long walks, listen to music, play games, and recently I’ve been into DnD. I’m a bit shy but I love meeting new people and hang out! It just takes me a while to open up.

I wish I can host to return the favor, but currently I live in a colocataire situation and I don’t think it’s possible to have people stay over. Sorry about that!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m an Indonesian student currently residing in Europe. My little resolution this year is to travel and see more of the world and broaden my horizons, so I thought going on Couchsurfing would be a good idea.

As of February 2026, I’ve done my first stay with very nice hosts in Lyon, and that positive experience encourages me to do this more. I’m quite shy in the beginning but I like to spend time with people!

Music, Movies, and Books

🍓 Music: indie folk, rock (j-rock), k-pop, pop songs in general, and sometimes I listen to classical music though I would not be able to recall the names 🥲

Western artists: Hozier, Noah Kahan, Of Monsters and Men, Sabrina Carpenter, Gigi Perez
Asian artists: Yuuri, Fujii Kaze, Oral Cigarettes, NewJeans, Budi Doremi, Vierra, Fourtwnty

🍑 Film: I like animation movies by default. I also like action, coming of age, thriller, and sci-fi.

🥝 Shows: Tangentially related, but I also have watched a lot of k-dramas! My favorites are My Mister, Life on Mars, 2521, Welcome to Waikiki, and Flower of Evil.

🍋 Anime: I also grew up watching old Japanese anime (Doraemon, Crayon Shin Chan, Bubu Chacha, and Minky Momo). Whew, those are nostalgic. As a pre-teen in the mid 2010s, I was the biggest fan of shonen animes (Fairy Tail, One Piece, Katekyo Hitman Reborn). Nowadays, I don’t watch them as much, but if you ask me what’s my favorite, it’s gotta be Cowboy Bebop and Steins;Gate.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I mean, going to Europe alone to study and live here is my grandest adventure yet! Honestly, the thought of going to France (let alone living here) had never crossed my mind before 😂 but that just goes to show how unpredictable life is.
