Currently living in Brazil for an exchange year, I want to take this opportunity to meet new people, learning languages, discover beautiful places and travel through South America !

My name is Héloïse, I'm 20 years old and I'm seeking for adventures. I'm from France, specifically Paris where I study in a Business School in the business district of La Défense.

I love human-sized cities where you can freely walk in the streets for hours without being afraid of getting lost, and discover little secret heavens free of tourists. When I visit a city I'm always seeking for the "artistic" district like Montmartre in Paris, Santa Teresa in Rio de Janeiro, Villa Madalena in Sao Paulo or Bairo Alto in Lisbon. My lifegoal is to enjoy every little beautiful things life has to give, and my bucket list is as long as it can get ;)

I can sometimes be shy, at the beginning at least, because I want to be careful with other cultures, you never know when you're being rude towards others. But don't worry, once I feel comfortable I can be pretty crazy !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard a lot about couchsurfing during my trips, everyone was saying so much good things about it that I wanted to try. Couchsurfing is for me the opportunity to go deeper into the culture and the discovering of a country/city than just going in a hostel as a tourist. Meeting locals is always the best experience you can ever have, because it's full of surprise, you never get bored. Getting bored is what I was and still am, always afraid of.

I believe that you have to stop dreaming about others' adventures, go out of your comfort zone and begin your own journey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a one month trip to Brazil and I've seen so many beautiful things that it totally changed me.

I ate worms in Amazonia, washed my arms with ants as a natural anti-mosquito, saw pink dolphins, a baby sloth and it's mother.

I once drove a small plane, did paragliding in the alps, skydiving in France, learn kitesurfing in Tarifa, passed my first level of scubadiving in Menorca.

Did a four days sailboat trip, one of the most peaceful and resourcing moment in my life.

Tom Cruise once asked me if I was okay.
