About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Sofia, Bulgaria is my new home! Currently trying to figure out how I can put my experience/skills in environment/development to good use here.

ABOUT ME

I'm a hybrid kiwi-swiss

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer my sisters couch out to a number of people (sometimes against her will), I have slept on a few couches in Canada, I used to own a couch, I don't like leather couches. In conclusion, I think that couches are practical, utile and multifunctional and that surfing them is pretty fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Over the winter in Whistler there were a bunch of wild Scottish/Irish girls and guys who would frequently invade (/couchsurf) from Vancouver during the weekends to make the most of the snow. Conclusion: cosy and good banter.

Interests

Anything that involves being in the outdoors

  • outdoor activities
  • surfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I like books and music and some movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waiting for the green man at a crossing even though people were swarming across the road and there was actually no traffic. Then, like an other logical and civilised human being, I decide to cross when the 'walking man/man-looking woman' light turns green and I get taken out by a cyclist, my nose hits his chest- starts bleeding, contents of bag all over road, and man red with road rage yelling at the cyclist because he nearly ran us over. That was a character-building experience.

Otherwise - exploring options for solar energy for refugees in Jordan, to developing environmental projects in Ukraine, climbing the highest peak in Ukraine (it's really high. the highest.) and Spain, road-tripping in my home country.... ah so many!

Teach, Learn, Share

Even when it seems safe to cross the road - don't.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My dry sense of kiwi humour if I am feeling generous.
