Overview
About Me
I am a social entrepreneur working in the field of waste management. By qualification, I am an MBA and Mechanical Engineer. I have around 15 years of work experience in some of the biggest Consulting and Technology Companies that have given me tremendous opportunities of travel... around the country and around the world. Traveling is a hobby that gives me a perspective of the world, the cultures, communities and societal values. Sometimes, through such travel opportunities emerge unique perspectives that help you see the world in a different (read positive) light. I am an optimist by heart and a firm believer of the theory of karma. Also working on a project to ensure 100% literacy in the country.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing allows me an opportunity to stay and communicate with the local community in a region and understand their perspectives and the most pressing issues that they face in their daily lives and how they overcome (or plan to overcome) those. Also, I look forward to opportunities of traveling around with the locals in their cities and understand their cultural values better. As a side, if you get to make good friends...what's the harm. After all, the world is a small place.
