À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Moving to San Diego!
ABOUT ME
I'm a generally laid-back, relaxed, fun sort of guy. I have a quick wit, I try to be as creative as possible, and thrive on the company of other witty, creative, laid-back, outdoorsy people. I'm in the process of moving to San Diego as I write this (I'm 2/3 of the way through a cross-country drive, sitting in a Starbucks in Denver). I can't wait to hit the mountains in a couple hours - until now, I've only seen the Rockies from 30,000 feet.
PHILOSOPHY
Well, there's the whole do unto others thing, but I'd like to thing that goes without saying (but yes, I said it anyway...so shoot me). I guess I just want to experience as much of life as I can, meet lots of cool, fun, interesting people, and go out a hundred years from now with a huge smile on my face.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to this site...a friend recommended it to me based on my current situation (needing a place to crash in San Diego for a week or so while I look for an apartment).

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Wow...this could be a very long list. Music and books of a very wide variety touch me, dig inside me and help me to shift my point of view. I've heard at least five songs just this morning that I'd never heard before and made me sit and listen. To name one of each, my current play list includes Josh Ritter, The Time-Traveler's Wife and Garden State.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
So, so, so many things. I'm amazed by the smallest things sometimes, things that most people just pass right by without noticing. I remember when I was living in Columbus, Ohio, going to school, and I'd walk along the street looking up at the patters that the leaves would make against the blue sky. My friends would laugh, ask me what I was looking at. Yesterday, the view of the sun setting behind the rockies took my breath away.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I'm moving to San Diego, so I'd love to connect with people who have something to share about the area. I'm definitely outdoors-oriented, so I'll be looking for places to hike, bike and kayak (my kayak is strapped to the top of the jeep for my drive cross-country). I can share general knowledge of the outdoors. (and hopefully other things...I have to hit the road soon, so I don't have much more time to write. :) )
