ABOUT ME

Hello! Hi!

I'm James. I like to talk and meet new people, and am especially interested if we are talking about DIY projects, international agricultural trade, farming, sustainability, and anywhere food and people mix. I couldn't be happier at a farmers market on a lovely sunny day!

To make my money, I am a researcher looking at how our eating impacts the regions where they were produced, which allows me to travel and see parts of the world the grocery store is hiding from us!

I am a returned Peace Corps volunteer that worked as an Agricultural extensionist in Paraguay , so anybody looking to speak Guarani would be especially cool to talk with!

As far as my travels go, I have been travelling in many parts of Eastern and parts of Western Europe, working in South America, and extensively through the US and Mexico.

I've lived in USA, Mexico, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Paraguay. I was partially raised in Mexico, but mostly in the US.

I really enjoy meeting new people in lots of different situations, and hope that I can form some new friends through the Couchsurfing Project.
