Hi, my name is Henk, i am a fulltime "Beer Ambassador" meaning i work fulltime on developing and promoting the world of craft beers by lots of different activities: beer tastings, beer trips to breweries and famous beer towns and bars, guiding tourists from all over the world through Holland and Belgium on their beertrips, etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love to host people, for showing them around, spend a nice evening having good food and a beer, love to meet people who are on holiday, study travel, or coming for a family visit. It broadens my horizon, and it is Always nice to meet people from other countries / cultures / languages.

Interests

Beer, beer, beer. Other interests: cycling, hiking, nature, meeting new people, travelling through Europe. Favorite countries: Italy, Scandinavia, Romania.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: a lot: rock, alternative rock, indie, blues, vocal jazz, some African folk, gypsie folk music, Irish folk, classical piano concerts, really a lot. Not very much into house, R&B etc.

Movies / Books: i stopped watching TV 5 yrs ago, i dont even have a TV anymore. I rather spend my time together with people, in nature, gardening etc than reading or watching movies. Exception: watching TourdeFrance, and Italian movies :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did most of the Tour de France mountains on my roadbike, and i did cycling holidays for already 20 yrs in most European countries

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to teach, learn and share anything that is related to your local craft beer culture, or related to craft food & drinks in general. Cook together, etc.
