Resumen
Sobre mí
A Texas girl who writes and makes things and sleeps in the back of her pathfinder. I'm adventurous and forthcoming! I think I'm funny. I know I'm smart and kind and brave. I practice Joyful Stoicism and live by the mantra Expect Less & Delight More!
I own property in the far reaches of West Texas. I operate a guest house with multiple suites. It is a small affair that I can (sometimes) orchestrate from afar. I am untethered to a desk. I travel frequently! I will go to great lengths to avoid cities. I will take a 4 hour detour to kayak on the river solo and then find myself delighted in the company of Rocky and his Grandpa Bubba. I will climb an arduous path in my vehicle just to get to the summit of the mountain and go to sleep with sundown. I would like to make the world a better place. I have past lives in social service and arts administration. Currently my service to others is delivered directly to the humans and critters in my orbit. I am an amateur assemblage artist. This means I've been gluing found stuff to other found stuff for years.
I am an excellent house guest. Happy to socialize. Happy to join on an adventure. Will there be trees, rocks, mountains, water? I'm in. I am an interpersonal chameleon. This means I will naturally read what you and your home dynamics need and then deliver that seamlessly. Early to bed. Early to rise. Quiet as a mouse until the rest of the world rises also.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I travel via Couchsurfing, Workaway, and Trusted Housesitters because I enjoy meeting people in real life, contributing and sharing, and staying in homes and neighborhoods rather than commercial motels. I gravitate towards unconventional humans. I appreciate authenticity, candor, and wit. I love animals and cultural variety.
I have traveled via Couchsurfing to Leuven, Antwerp, Amsterdam, and North Adams Massachusetts. All trips were neat and dear experiences! Apparently I am Old School, as Couchsurfing has honored me with such a badge. I think this is because I was couchsurfing before millenials graduated high school.

Algo increíble que he hecho
I moved to the middle of nowhere at 36 years old and reinvented myself in the desert.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
My creative force, values, ambition, ties to family and friends, and tendency to say yes are what propel me to do most of what I end up doing. The tales about what I ended up doing are fun to share. I have been told by folks whose paths I've crossed that I taught them many things. I am certain these were value based life approaches and perceptions. Happy to share space and morph with you for a bit.
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
At minimum, my gratitude and considerate company!
If we share a meal I am happy to contribute groceries and to stand nearby and take direction. I cannot be counted on to boil water! I am abysmal at cooking. However, I'm exceptional at cleaning up the mess after someone else cooks!
To thank you for your hospitality I can lend a hand around the house. I own and operate a guest house so I have spent the last 4 years of my life cleaning. When I travel I am getting a *break from cleaning*. That said - I would happily dust, tidy, organize, and arrange your abode for you. I take joy in making spaces pretty. I can make a pile of junk look darling.
