ABOUT ME

I'm a 20 year old friendly girl from the very north of Germany (well, after having to move due to my studies it's rather the east now...).
I spent the last year (actually 9 months, September 2010 - June 2011) on a Working Holiday in New Zealand. After finishing my A-Levels (Biology, Geography, Maths and German), I wasn't too eager to continue with any studies and therefore I just needed one year abroad as a "timeout".

And now, back in Germany, I'm all rested and ready to go on with my plan of studying psychology...

I do really love and respect animals and therefore I decided to become a vegetarian in the beginning of last year (January). Furthermore I don't drink or smoke, living as healthy as possible.

I'm an easygoing, tolerant and tidy person. Even though I seem to be quit and shy at the first look, I can be very talkative if you get to know me better.
I'd describe myself as a perfectionist, but unfortunately a lazy one. Means it costs me quite an effort to start a task, but once I'm working on it I can't stop til it's perfect...
In addition I am really ambitious and I demand a great deal of myself (sometimes probably too much!).

PHILOSOPHY

I guess I'm rather a pessimist than an optimist and I tend to only notice the bad things in life, but I'm working on it ;-)
My personal motto is something like "Enjoy every day as if it's your last". Well, at least I want it to be the slogan for my life. There are so much amazing things to see and experience in this world and I have only one life to make the most of it. So you shouldn't waste any day of your precious time on this world!

Had some really great experiences during my stay in New Zealand! Hope I can gain some more experiences in other countries, too...

Interests

Sports (soccer, jogging), eating (chocolat and peanut butter make every day perfect!), travel, reading, listening to music, movies, computer, baking and cooking, collecting shells (actually I just started here in New Zealand), mathematics, vampires (history, origins, media), serial killers (born killers?, famous serial killers, novels), nature (sunset, clouds, stars, trees, rocks, sea, flowers)

I absolutely love cats! They're the cutest animals in the whole world. I have three cats at home and I really miss them while I'm here in New Zealand. That's probably why I need to stroke every cat I meet on the street...

Due to my plan to study psychology I'm really interested in the human psyche, human behaviour, mental illnesses, body language, differences in behaviour between men and women, human brain and mind etc.

Furthermore I admire two celebrities: Johnny Depp and Farin Urlaub. Even though I'm absolutely not interested in their private life, I really adore and respect their work.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I read almost everthing I can get, but at the time mostly thriller and crime novels, especially books involving serial killers... My favourite authors of this genre are Cody McFadyen, Karin Slaughter, Jeff Lindsay (Dexter) and Dan Wells. But I do also enjoy reading vampire stories, such as Darren Shan or "Die Chronik der Unsterblichen" by Wolfgang Hohlbein (german author).

Music: I love rock music, especially punk rock and hard rock. But I'm also a fan of Dark Rock and Finnish Rock... My favourite bands are Die Aerzte (German Punk Rock band), Farin Urlaub Racing Team, Bullet for My Valentine, HIM, The Rasmus, Lovex, Die Toten Hosen, Fall out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Good Charlotte...

Movies: My favourite actor is Johnny Depp! He's absolutely awesome and I've probably seen all of his movies. My favourite Johnny Depp movies are Sweeney Todd, Chocolat, Alice in Wonderland, Pirates of the Caribbean, Once upon a time in Mexico, From Hell and Sleepy Hollow.
Other favourite movies: Underworld, Blade, Pitch Black + The Chronicles of Riddick, Van Helsing, Oceans, Bourne Trilogy, Lord of the Rings, Avatar, Prince of Persia, War of the Worlds, Spy Game, Australia, Bridget Jones, Pretty Woman...
I also enjoy watching some television series. My favourites are Stargate Atlantis/ SG1, The Mentalist, Dexter and Vampire Diaries.
