Overview
About Me
Hey, I'm a guy who's hungry for new experiences and looking forward to meet people, visit new places and do crazy stuff. I'm up for almost anything, from a visit to the opera to bungee jumping, from tea-time to kebab.
Started travelling first with parents. A lot to English countryside and French rural areas, as my mother likes to visit gardens (she's a teacher for garden architects). Later I went with my father on off-road-trip in a 4x4-camper, to France, Denmark and Tunisia. Just around 2013 I went the first time solo and with friends, and had the best time of my life!
I find it important to see as much of the world to better understand each other, so we can live together. While we are young is the best time to do it. You never know what’s going to happen next (insert life is like a box of chocolates-quote).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling is only half about visiting other places. It's about the people and their culture. The best way to immerse yourself is by joining the local community, by CS for example.
I have yet to enjoy the CS-experience, nor has it been possible for me to host. Hopefully this can change soon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- The second time we (parents, sister and I) went to Tunisia, we were there when the first protests, which would later be called the Arab Spring, erupted. It was an eye opening experience, as a person from a safe country with a democratic system and fair rights for everybody. An old man even escorted us past some rebellious villages where more violent positions against the law enforcement took place. The people there are so welcoming and friendly, truly amazing.
- Went to a hurling-match in Dublin. Supporter of both teams where sitting just next to eachtother! What a difference with football (soccer for the Americans here) where they have to places fences to keep them appart.
- Told parents I want to visit North Korea.
Teach, Learn, Share
-I know lots of useless facts, besides some electrical and electronics (because schooling).
-The Roman Empire, and more specific, emperor Nero are a hot topic!
-About gardens and stuff, because my mother teaches garden architecture and we have a big garden at home.
-Also, ask me anything about the RMS Titanic, because I'm a total geek on that subject!
