We are two best friends from Norway.

Andrea is a 26 year old who studied and worked in advertising in London for two years before moving back to Oslo where she is currently working as an Advertising Creative. Andrea enjoys watching and making films, eating, reading, writing and travelling.

I (Henrik) am a 25 year old currently working as an IT consultant. Previously I studied and worked in New York City for five years before I moved back to Oslo one year ago. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, sailing, meeting new people, hiking, trying out new foods, cooking, snowboarding and exercise.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are couch surfing now for the first time because we heard it´s a great way to get in touch with the locals when travelling and an amazing way to get recommendations on things to do.

This October we will be travelling to Japan for the first time ever! We are very excited, but somewhat overwhelmed with the amount of things to do and areas to cover, and we think it would be cool to get to know people in the area that can give us recommendations and hang out with us. We love to hang out!

Music, Movies, and Books

Andrea listens to everything but rock and is into bozzanova jazz, dreamy French music and British grunge & rap.

Henrik listens to everything from Classical, Electronic and Jazz, but is right now very much into Childish Cambrio and Amber Frank.

A few of Andrea’s favorite movies (she has many) are «The Virgin Scuisides» , «The Matrix», «American Beauty» and «Amelie from Montmartre».

Some of Henrik´s favourite movies are "Secretary", "Mulholland Dr." and "In Bruges».

Andrea is mainly into fiction, in both books and film, but is also a big fan of documentaries, especially if they’re made by Louis Theroux or Vice. Currently reading short format fiction in form of poetry and short-stories by several Norwegian authors.

Henrik is mostly into non-fiction books and right now one of my favourites is called "Sapiens". It is basically a book with a brief history of the human species. I would recommend it because it gives you a new perspective on life, society and politics.
