About Me
ABOUT ME
Apparently, according to the Chinese zodiac I am a fire snake, unless I have horribly misunderstood how the dates are read. This should apparently make me cunning and socially adept at manipulating my surroundings. I do not really agree with this. However, I try to be accomodating of other people's personalities, being a bit of a wierdo myself I am accepting and also flexible in my own behaviour. working hard at overcoming my cultural shyness, I have tried to be more proactive in assisting people. This means that I can bug some persons who do not want my advice, but that is fine by me, such people are not some I would get along with well in the long run anyway.
PHILOSOPHY
I hate waste. He can't stand the typical consumerism lifestyle that we now have. He has severe problems even throwing food away, he'd rather keep it and cook it into something even more interesting the day after. He have piles of plastic boxes I keep to store leftovers in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Now I havealso tried out couch surfing and the experience has been as expected, excellent. I have an aversion against living in hotels, they are soulless. I much rather live on someone's couch, even for conferences and the likes, when hotels are paid.

Teach, Learn, Share
We do recommend (and of course appreciate) bringing your own bedlinen when couch surfing. The easiest way is to get a sleeping bag liner like:
http://www.sleepingsak.com/
http://www.survival-school.org/Default.aspx?tabid=246&txtSea...
http://www.trailspace.com/gear/cocoon/silk-mummyliner/
The biggest hassle as a host is to find clean linen for our guests, and also to wash them after having been used maybe once or twice, or even worse, realize we forgot to wash them and having to offer used linens. We are sure other hosts will appreciate this greatly as well.
Lastly, anyone curious about (or living in) Scandinavia should study up on this:
