My plane took off from the ground and raised itself over Lisbon. I had just finished a long trip through Portugal and Spain that had changed my perspective more than anything I’d done before. I decided that I didn’t want to settle down in one place already. I felt a need to discover new sides and aspects of life, and to learn from the new experiences gained by changing your environment. Now whenever I return to my old country(Sweden) I appreciate better that which is good, and to have a place to return to where you can speak the language 100%. At the same time, as I get better at learning new languages and moving around the world, I more and more realize the value of that as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I quickly started hearing about it on my trips, and got some experience co-hosting with my friend who had an account. I think it's a great way to see the city you're visiting and getting to know someone who actually lives there.

Interests

I like cooking, photography and have a passion for history among many other things.
Would love to continue writing music again, something I’ve unfortunately put on the shelf lately. Difficult to bring a piano on the trips.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer melodic music. With that said I do have a preference nowadays for a lot of orchestral music. Classical, Film Music etc. Folk and popular music is great too though. I just love good music.

Reading books is one of the best things I know, partly for the information and the usefulness of non-fiction, partly for the experience that a fiction book can offer.

Teach, Learn, Share

While so far I'm only fluent in two languages (Swedish and English), I'm in the process of studying Spanish. So maybe I can both learn and teach something when it comes to languages. We often learn things just by hearing about other people's thoughts and experiences.
