ABOUT ME

Curious by nature, social and always up for a coffee, a drink, a hike, a ski trip or even better: something I've never tried before. Always interested in learning, and in meeting new people, experiencing the world one step at a time.

One special person can make an enormous difference when you come to a new place, and the CS community seems to be full of persons like that. I'd love to be able to help people get a good experience, after having people do it for me.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

There's nothing better than combining traveling with getting to know people from other countries and cultures. I love to travel, and I love to learn.

I've been surfing a couple of couches, and have also been a host. I've met CS people for a beer/coffee, and been to social events (dinners, bars, dancing classes etc.). Got into the community through playing trampoline dodgeball in the SF Bay area. Love the vibe and the people!

Interessen

Like most people within this community I love to travel, meet new, interesting people, see amazing places and experience different cultures.

I love the outdoors and hiking, whether it is on feet in a tropical forest or on skis in the freezing mountains of Norway. I'm generally fond of sports: skiing, climbing, football, tennis; what have you! You'll also find me reading at a café, on the tram, at home, trying to dig down that ever-growing pile of must-reads.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Svalbard will always hold a special place in my heart. As to experiences, it's so hard to pick a favourite – ascending the Lenin Peak in Kyrgyzstan, seeing the sun rise over Angkor Wat, wandering around Machu Picchu, or having my breath taken away by the Iguacu Falls, are all up there.

But if I have to choose only one experience it must be hiking in Masai Mara, Kenya, with only the eyes and spears of a couple of Masais to guard us from lions, elephants and the other animals of the savanna.
