Overview
About Me
I work at Marburg University in the field of Classics. Before this I studied four subjects (Latin, Ancient Greek, Political Science and Economics) and I was very much involved into university politics during my time at university which I enjoyed very much. Also beyond that I'm interested in politics and - even more - in society and I like discussing these issues very much. In order to relax, I cook very often, I like trying new recipes, running, hiking and dancing (mainly Kizomba, a bit Bachata and Salsa).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
At the beginning I was just curious about trying CS. After my first CS experiences I learned that it's the way of travelling I prefer to any other way. If you really want to get to know a country, you need to get to know its people, not only landmarks, cafés and museums. The maybe easiest and, for sure, most intense way of getting to know people from another country is, according to my experience, CS. Departing from being curious about CS, CS aroused and strengthened my curiousity of getting to know other countries, i.e. people and cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like quite a lot of music genre starting from electronic music and electro swing up to classical music.
I'm not so much into movies, but the kind I like are e.g. Quentin Tarantino's and some of the grands seigneurs of the Italian cinema.
I like reading books very much! Since reading Latin and Ancient Greek literature is always a challenge, I enjoy reading German or English literature.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love cooking and baking and, of course, am interested in sharing this hobby by cooking together.
