Overview
About Me
I like to travel (no suprise!), especially by bike (surprise!). Not that I've done that many long bike trips yet, but during those that I've done I definitively noticed that this is my favorite way of traveling - it's fast enough to cover quite a distance but slow enough to not miss the important details of what is passing by during the journey. It enables you to get quite a good feeling for a new environment (and its meteorologic phenomena ;) ) and it makes you maximally flexible.
Besides riding my bike and traveling in general, I really like meeting new people, having a good conversation (whereby good can mean everything from talking nonsense to discussing a serious topic), relaxing at a lake while reading a good book (like the good old "The Catcher in the Rye"), spending a night (or - in Berlin-terms - rather a morning) in a club from time to time and enjoying all the other great opportunities the city I'm living in has to offer.
In general, I think I'm an open-minded, quite active and curious person that is keen on learning about different ways of life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
... because there's no better way to really get to know a place than by having a host who knows all those places you will never find in your travel guide.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Do you know the Haldern Pop Festival? Its lineup sums up my taste of music pretty well.
Besides that, some electronic wibes are unavoidable in Berlin (and that's good) and listening to piano pieces on a rainy Sunday should never be underrated.
If I had to choose one band as my favorite, it would be probably alt-j.
Books: "The Catcher in the Rye" is a book that I have to read every year and "Yesterday" by Christensen is an awesome piece of literature, too.
Movies: "Boyhood" was great!
