About Me

I'm a very sociable person and like to meet new people, travel to new countries and discover other cultures. In Tübingen, I study International Economics and Politics so that I always like to discuss current political issues with my friends while drinking a glass of wine. I am also quite passionate about classical music, I play violin in a student orchestra. I also like to run. I used to do athletics, but now I just enjoy going jogging just for fun and have a chat in the meantime.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would really like to get to know places not just from the perspective of a tourist, but also get to know the people who live there. I am always happy to meet people of different nationalities and chat. I find it amazing how easy you can communicate even when speaking different languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a passionate reader. Sometimes I usually read a novel while having breakfast and it happens quite often that I do not manage to leave the breakfast table because I'm totally caught by the story. I really like dystopian literature of alternative, future models of society that leave you shivering and happy with the world you live in. When lying on the beach, I also like to read romace or comedy once in a while :-)
I really like Indie music, but I listen to a lot of other genres as well and like to get to hear local bands.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm....I have already experienced many amazing things while travelling and I probably have a few stories to share. For example the one where I drive up the Etna with friends in spite of a storm warning and when leaving the car, we all get blown to the ground and cannot move (morale of the story: storm warnings should not be taken lightly even when it's your last day of travelling and otherwise you don't get to see the etna).

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm quite passionate about tongue twisters. I will teach you how to say "Blaukraut bleibt Blaukraut und Brautkleid bleibt Brautkleid" and am happy to learn one in your mother tongue.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will definitely share a bottle of wine and am happy to cook something German for dinner. My Kartoffelsalat (potatoe salad) is pretty good and I'm also quite good at doing cookies.
