ABOUT

I am a very laid back and open minded person. My love for travelling stems from that I I have a great interest in everything new. I find getting to know people the best way to travel; through people I get to hear stories, get to see places and get insights you doubtfully do on your own. I am a very easy going person who likes to reflect upon what I learn, thus I like few things more than a good conversation with people who have got different perspectives than myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Seeing streets and buildings are only certain parts of travelling. Meeting people who live there, who can tell you things you otherwise wouldn't know, that is why couchsurfing makes travelling even better.

Interests

I take a great interest in reading. I am also an avid fencer and hiker. Born in Norway, I have an intrinsic love for mountains, landscapes and nature, and hence I love being outside. Naturally, travelling ranks as one of my predominant interests and I try to keep it up as often as possible, even just small trips! Travelling allows you to distance yourself from your normal views and thoughts.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a wide array of books and genres, with a particular fondness for philosophy and existential literature such as Thomas Mann. I am also constantly exploring new genres of music, ranging from dream pop to soul.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked the Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage through Northern Spain. I spent hours upon hours walking through the Spanish landscapes, seeing everything from deserts and castle ruins to green mountains and windmills. Not to mention all the memorable people I encountered, had lunch with and walked with on the way!
