About Me

I'm a single dad with a son and a daughter. I only have them every even week so I may be able to host you in odd weeks.

I'm ok with speaking Swedish but I'm really shitty at French. I wanna learn it but so far I haven't been able to prioritise it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new people and hear about their life experiences, goals and how they go about their lives. It puts my own life into experience and helps me grow as a person.
I love nature, cities and everything in between. When I'm away travelling I want to see as much as possible - and not just what's in the tourist brochure. Getting advice from locals and a place to crash helps me afford to see more of the world - and the more interesting side of it.

Interests

If you're interested in something not already tagged as one of my interests then you may just be my first teacher in the marvels of that particular thing. Tell me what I've missed :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music genres like hiphop, r&b, pop, house, salsa, bachata and kizomba are important to me. The more music the better.
I'm a hopeless singer though - the only thing I really regret I'm not capable of doing. Luckily, I can comfort myself with the fact that I played drums once. Okay, I was not even a teen at that time but still, it gave me a sense of rhythm.

TV is not really my thing. I never have time.

I do read books but since I'm studying a master I almost exclusively read academic litterature. Before my studies I read occasionally to kill time.
I prefer thick books since I find it annoying if a book is already done in a day. I like a book that keeps me up at night because I can't put it away. The kind of book that deprives me of sleep.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've performed as a dancer at His Majesty the Crown Prince of Denmark's wedding in front of 40,000 people in 2004.

Honourable mentions could be:
- Boarding local boats of Somalia to hunt for suspected pirates in 2012.
- Serving on the staff that got the chemical weapons out of Syria in 2014.
- Interning at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in Den Haag, the Netherlands, in 2016.
Living in Biloxi, Mississippi USA, in the summer of 2017.

Teach, Learn, Share

Finishing my master degree winter 2017 - hopefully.
Dunno what else to put in this section?!?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, good times, cultural peculiarities.
I can hold a conversation and I'm not bad company - but I don't intend to cling to you.
We can cook together, drink a glass of wine, go to the beach, or...

I'm an adult and I can take care of myself. I expect the same of you.
