Hey! I'm Henrique. I grew up in the Brazilian city of Manaus, right in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. You may have heard of it because of the World Cup in Brazil. Because I lived there for so long, I'm very used to hot, humid weather and seeing exotic animals every now and then. I've moved to the US for university. I go to the Wharton Business School in Philly, where I'm studying marketing! I'm going to be studying abroad in Sydney, Australia, from July/2017 to November/2017. I hope to have the chance to visit Tasmania, New Zealand, Indonesia and Thailand too!

I'm currently starting a website design agency while in school (tough, I know). My dream is to travel the world as I work on my business remotely. Entrepreneurship and traveling are my main passions so I thought it would be a good idea to combine the two! I'm very into spirituality. If you're interested in the works of Eckart Tolle, Sadhguru, Ken Wilber, Alan Watts, the Buddha, I'm sure we'd have a lot to talk about :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Mostly, I'm here mainly because I have a small budget to travel and would like to minimize my costs. I'm a student barely making any money yet! My parents earn their salary in Brazilian Reals, which has a very bad conversion rate to the dollar. Hopefully, I'll be making some more money in dollars as I grow my business. For now, I really have to be a Spartan and minimize my traveling as costs as much as possible! Besides, I'd love to meet you :) When my Brazilian friends come to the US, they love the fact that they have me to show them around. I believe I'll have the same experience here with Couchsurfing.

I love electronic music, flamenco guitar and Brazilian music. Funny enough, I only started really listening to songs in Portuguese when I left Brazil. It makes me remember what's like to be home. Some of my favorite artists are Deadmau5, Avicii, Cold Play, Roberto Carlos, Mariza.

I'm a big fan of Inception, the Great Gatsby, all 007 movies, Catch me if you can, The little boy (this one made me cry), Good Will Hunting.

Most of the books I read are mostly about spirituality or business. I partcularly like: The power of now, The fountainhead, Think and grow rich, The school of greatness, The alchemist, Elon Musk.
