About Me
My name is Henry, I am from Chile, a long and thin country in South America. I currently teach Physics at University, in Santiago de Chile. Actually, I was born in a small town at north of Chile, but now I live in Santiago, with my little sister.
I like to take advantage of time off the job to travel. I have visited Argentina, Brazil and USA, and a lot of beautiful places of my own country. I enjoy meeting and making friend with people all over the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really hope to meet other travellers through group meetings, and eventually host travellers at my home. I consider couch-surfing gives me an unparalleled opportunity to learn about the people, the culture, the traditions, local places of interest to visit and listen to tales about the history of the place I am visiting, and also, and invaluable way to make new friends in the world. Although couch-surfing is about saving money, it’s also about getting an insider’s view – local recommendations and insights you otherwise wouldn’t know about.
Music, Movies, and Books
Apart of science, I really love music. I can play the piano and guitar, and I love classical music, electronica and rock. Besides it, I really like visual arts, specially aboriginal and European art.
I like to watch old horror movies, but I don't watch too much TV. I usually like to read Latin-American poetry and Sci-Fi books.
I am talkative, I like to talk about culture, art, science, history and third world problems. I am a very curious and open minded person.
If I had to define my life in a phrase, It would be: "Enjoy every day as if it were the last" :)
