i am all about creativity, people's liberation, expanding my knowledge of the world, and connecting with other people. i love cooking, walking through new places, joking and telling stories with strangers.

PHILOSOPHY

free yo mind, make your ancestors proud, and choose love always. existence is resistance. be humble but also have dignity. consume less, create more. I live my life to make a difference in the world, to inspire and be inspired. the reason i travel is to learn and address my own ignorance, to respectfully learn about the place that other people call home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i have no experience with this website but staying with strangers is not new to me. in the philippines i stayed with many different community organizations, in their offices where the organizers live and work. we would usually sleep on cardboard on the floor, cook meals together, and tell each other what life is like where we come from. these are some of my favorite memories because i love to share with others. i was honored that they let me stay with them, and appreciated that i was not treated specially as a first world guest.

i also a community organizer, and can give lessons on community organizing, US imperialism, Philippines revolutionary history, US school-to-prison pipeline etc.
