Henry Valecillos , M.Sc , entered the holistic world in Caracas, Venezuela. His first steps in this millenary art occurred when he specialized in different bodyworks such as Shiatsu and Reflexology at the Mios Institute (Instituto Mios ), specializations which he developed while finishing his degree in Business Administration in Hospitality and Tourism.

In the year 2001, Henry started practicing Yoga at the Tecoteka Center of the Great Universal Fraternity (Tecoteka de la Gran Fraternidad Universal). Six months after, in a natural manner, he started teaching yoga to relatives and friends. After finishing his degree, he decided to dig deeper in the studies of yoga, massage, healing, deep bodywork, coaching, and hypnosis in the city of Honolulu, Hawaii.

He lived in this wonderful island for 5 years in which he received constant training. He practiced yoga almost every day. He could also finish a number of master´s degrees and became an instructor in different areas such as a well being therapy, coaching, and yoga teaching in the state of Hawaii. He worked at the spa at the prestigious Marriot Hotel for four years.

During his stay in Hawaii, he studied Hawaiian massage. He took several workshops which let him go deeper into this beautiful philosophy, which fusions all transcendental aspects of the Lomi Lomi (Hawaiian massage). After two years of constant practice teaching and studying, he decided to take the teacher training at the Open Space Yoga. This experience changed his life in such a way that he gave up everything he had in Hawaii to pursue adventure in the country where yoga is originated: India.

He lived in India for six months, where he visited many of the Ashrams. He learned about its culture, especially yoga and meditation. He started the teacher training at Sivananda Yoga in Madurai. He also started instructing Ayurveda and Aryu yoga massage .He traveled all around India taking classes with different godly people such as Iyengar, Parahamsa Yogananda, Pattabi jois, Sivananda, Visnu Devananda, Indra Devi, among others.

After this flood of experiences, he traveled to Thailand, specifically to the city of Cheing Mae in order to deepen his knowledge in Thai massage. He attended ITM (International Training Massage) obtaining the highest certification, which permitted him to teach Thai massage in any part of the world.

He traveled and learned from different instructors such as Pichet and Mr Nut elaborating his own sequence based on different teachings. He came back to his home country, Venezuela, and opened Yoga Spa Shanti. It has been opened for the past five years and it offers a great variety of classes and instructors.

Through yoga and holistic therapies, Henry has worked with social work, teaching free workshops to people with different situations and problems such as elderly people, people with HIV, people whose children have motor skills problems, and people with addiction problems. Henry has also participated in different activities at prison facilities. He has recently traveled to the cities of New York and Miami continuing his studies with renowned masters such as Rodney Yee, Dharma Mittra and Jivamukti instructors. Henry Valecillos, Msc., has taught workshops all around Venezuela, Latin America, and the United States.

Henry Valecillos created a technique called Integral Therapeutic Yoga Massage, which fusions much of the knowledge acquired through the years. In the same way, he teaches courses and workshops related to yoga; principally yoga teacher training,yoga philosophy , spiritual growth through yoga among others.
