Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I done a fair amount of travelling and by FAR my best experiences have been when I have a chance to meet people who live in the place. I love trying to figure out what it's like to live as a local, and I think couch surfing will help me do that. I also think that anyone willing to give up their couch to a stranger is probably a pretty cool person.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have played music since I was six. I play jazz piano and saxophone and I love to jam out! I play Jazz, R&B, Funk, or anything that makes you tap your foot, and I listen to far more than that. In particular, I like soul, hip hop, techno, indie rock, house, and I'm open to just about any genre.

My taste in movies is extremely varied. I love the baddassery of Tarrantino, the wonder of Wes Anderson, and the disorienting realism of the Coen Brothers. Or just sit me down with the Lion King and some popcorn, and I'll be happy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lost my passport while I was travelling in Taiwan and I was forced to stay an extra week. It ended up being one of the greatest adventures of my life, involving love, intrigue, and living on a basement pull-out couch in the basement of a hostel with a german violin maker.

I want to learn about anything and everything. I would especially like to learn how to mix drinks, speak Spanish, write code, tailor clothing, brew beer, make films, or pretty much anything.
