About Me

CURRENT MISSION

An inbetween year, gathering ideas for my Phd

ABOUT ME

I'm full of energy and would always rather go and see or do something than sit down. I always want to play games and have fun and really am bad at bearing grudges or being upset. I am eternally curious

PHILOSOPHY

Get cycling, get happy, go adventure

make the plan, do the plan

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have spent a lot of time with couchsurfers in the past and have decided to try it for myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not much so far but I am really looking forward to my first couch-surf-safari in South America and hosting when I get back to London.

Interests

I study philosophy and cognitive science and so am very interested how the brain and world work together, in a new scientific approach to a wholism between body and world. Though I am always interested in any philosophy debate

I am a keen long distance cyclist and I volunteer for a charity in Edinburgh that recycles old bikes and teaches folk how to fix their bikes. I want to get everybody back on their bikes, it's just my small battle for a better world.

I also love film, while studying for my masters I worked in a tiny independent art deco cinema in edinburgh, as a projectionist. love being in that flickering dark room above all the people engrossed in te film.

Music, Movies, and Books

i love books, i love fantastical books. i do not love grim, gritty realism (except Koestler)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently my brother and I cycled around the forgotten spomenik in former yugoslavia, the pride and aspiration of the nation that built these staggering structures is unmistakeable but that they are now abandoned was staggering.

Call me an overly romantic Englishman but the view over the Lake District from Skiddaw rather knocks one for six !

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook, fix things (especially bikes and cameras) and I'm quite good at knowing about stuff, I love teaching people about where we are.

I am very very good at teaching people to juggle, though I am not myself a superb juggler.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro, Serbia

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
