CURRENT MISSION

Hello! My name is Henry :) I am 24 years into this body and I love living through this journey with you all. I have spent the last six months in Portland (amazing city) and I am now packing my loom and yarns into a storage unit and hitting the open road, thumb pointed towards Ashland and arms open wide. I hope to release all that does not serve my best self, and to align with other folk with whom I resonate well. I am here to share love and insight.

ABOUT ME

I am a creator. I make art and functional object out of fiber, mostly, yet I love all forms of creation. I think it says something about me as well - I approach this life with creative energy, finding opportunities to manifest our dreams, rather than submit to oppression. I am a big believer in turning our awareness within to find purpose. I also acknowledge and love the world we live in, all of the culture and beautiful creation that humans have come up with. I love it all! Big rewilding geek, very passionate about settling in our ancestral roots.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is for living. Growth is bliss, and so challenge is welcome. I listen with depth and as a catalyst for change. We must allow for ourselves to be as we are, do the work when we truly want to and skip out when that is what is calling. I am here to offer myself fully, and for that means finding what is most resonant with my deepest desires. This tends to be healthy food (preferably wild) bright sun and rich soil. I love cold water immersion and saunas. Talk to me about the way that you have found your resonance, and I will tell you about mine. Let us share this beautiful journey!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this moment I am finding myself heading from Portland to Ashland, and I would like somewhere to land. So at this moment I participate by asking you to help me by offering me stability, for however long is appropriate for our lives. I offer help in exchange for your kindness. Please allow me to help with your environment in some way while I am with you, or at least serenade with a song about your beauty, or offer some kind of healing modality like a movement class or platonic (obviously <3) massage.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Berlin, and in Portland (Maine). The reviews from Portland are not up, but it was a fantastic experience. I lived with a family for a month, such kind hearts to let me stay for so long, and got very close to their son. We were all fantastic friends by the end, and they hold a warm place in my heart. Interesses

I have many dreams, all of them bright and shining in my mind as I write this. I celebrate this life, and love this planet. I am living for the beautiful poetics that I find on the wind, for the moments that catch me in freedom.

These interests are what I have found to bring me freedom. Right now it is travel, and celebration of communities that live in resonance with life on our planet. I love to be outside and immerse in local ecology.

I can teach about what I know about the world, and can teach you how to achieve your own place of self knowledge as well, if that is something that you feel you would need help with. I can teach you just about anything, if you need to learn it, because I can teach people how to learn. Maybe one of the reasons why it is so hard to learn a new skill is because people have a hard time learning. Well , I think I may be able to help with that...

As far as concrete skills go, I know how to weave, I know how to use sewing machines and knitting machines, I know how to sew by hand, I know how to silkscreen and use various textile design softwares on the computer. I can help to make art, help to come up with artistic projects for yourself or for your kids, I can even lend an artistic eye to the design of your house and give suggestions on how to make your space more livable and manageable. Same could be said for your garden - I am starting to learn a bit about that.

I am delving into lifestyle design and how to optimize our existence here. I love picking apart how people live their lives and how it can be better. However I know this can be intrusive so it's usually not something I'll bring up unless the conversation goes there naturally :)

I am, in fact, looking to learn quite a bit. Anything you have to teach, really I will be interested in. Anything that gets us closer to a better world - I want to know what you know that makes you a special person. I want to know what you know best, better than everyone else - what ability do you have, what is your offering?
