Présentation
À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Have fun, do interesting things, learn a lot, save the world.
ABOUT ME
I recently graduated from law school in VT, where I focused on environmental issues. I'm tall, lanky, and wavy-haired. I like good music, I like to have fun, ride my bicycle, swim, discuss ideas, and meet people. I love the ocean, chocolate, and stopping to look at the world around me. I also play a little bit of guitar and ukulele.
My favorite movie is The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. My favorite book at the moment is The Foundation trilogy by Isaac Asimov, and my favorite album at the moment is Lola vs. Powerman and the Moneygoround, by The Kinks.
I often travel with my girlfriend (on the rabbit), who is similarly tall, lanky, and wavy-haired. She is lots of fun, full of interesting conversation and stories of travels past, and makes a great guest. We both finished school and are not yet actually attorneys.
PHILOSOPHY
Be happy, do good things, make the world a better place. And gather knowledge while you're at it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I Couchsurfed through France and Switzerland, making my way into Corsica. I met a bunch of awesome people, hung out, had some BBQs, hiked, and saw the views and the scenery. It was pretty amazing.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Oh, there's a section for that. Hmm...
Terry Gilliam movies, movies that make you think without being pretentious, Monty Python, Mel Brooks, Jim Henson, the classics.
Music, generally I like older rock and roll. Like the Kinks, the Beatles, the Doors, and CCR. I also like odd stuff, weird stuff, interesting stuff, and funny stuff. Like Devo, Tiny Tim, the Aquabats, Tally Hall, and other stuff like that. You can never really predict whether I will like a song or not, as I think is the case with most people.
For books, I tend towards science fiction and nonfiction. The nonfiction part is usually scientific or political-ish. Carl Sagan, Robert Sapolsky, Isaac Asimov, Dahl, and whatever else is good.
My girlfriend likes the same movies and music, but adds a far deeper knowledge of classical music and literature than I have.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I spent ten days on a 120-ft schooner in high school. We sailed out of Woods Hole and around Cape Cod. At night, there were shooting stars everywhere. I once counted 26 in about five minutes. Bioluminescent plankton would blink when disturbed, so the waves from the boat would sparkle. One amazing night I was on bow watch, I heard clicks and splashes over the side, and when I looked I saw dolphins leaving bioluminescent streaks in the water. They stayed for about ten minutes, and I called a bunch of poeple to join me in just watching. It was a magical experience, and I've been in love with the ocean and large sailing boats since then. Well before then, but that sort of nailed it down.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I can teach: Origami, singing, tie-dye, some cool knots, using computers, other stuff you may be interested but doesn't come readily to my mind.
Would like to learn: Various crafts, science-y things, interesting stuff to do, skills. Anything, really.
